# Integrations for Visual Studio, C# and .NET

iolys brings native Git and GitHub integrations into Visual Studio 2026 for C# and .NET development. Keep tasks in separate worktrees, follow your changes, and work with issues and pull requests from your conversation.

## Git: keep each task in its own workspace

Work on parallel tasks in isolated Git worktrees and branches. Open a worktree in the current Visual Studio window or a new one. Each card shows uncommitted files, commits outside the main branch, and whether those commits have been merged, so you can see what still needs attention and which worktrees are ready to remove.

## GitHub: bring issues and pull requests into your chat

Ask iolys to read issues, check pull requests, or create and update a PR from your chat. For GitHub repositories, worktree cards also show the linked pull request and its open or merged status. Open the PR from the card to check the review or merge result.

## Connect GitHub

1. **Open your repository.** Open a GitHub repository in Visual Studio. When iolys detects it, it offers to connect GitHub.
1. **Activate and sign in.** Activate the integration. iolys handles the GitHub CLI installation and lets you sign in to your account through your browser.
1. **Ask from your chat.** Ask iolys to read an issue, check a pull request, or create a PR for your changes. Keep the conversation beside your code.

## Planned integrations: GitLab and Azure DevOps

Native GitLab and Azure DevOps integrations are planned for iolys. They are not available yet. Share how your team uses them for C# and .NET development in Visual Studio to help shape these integrations.
